I’ve lived in 30 homes in 23 cities in 4 countries on 3 continents. Right now, home is Brooklyn, NY.
For my primary work, I’ve helped produce world-class entertainment events and venues for 20 years. A leader of award-winning teams, a designer and architect by practice, and an engineer by degree, I describe myself as a T-shaped person (to borrow a term from IDEO) - I have a broad range of experience and knowledge with a deep expertise in leading the use of technology creatively.
My projects have included Cirque du Soleil’s “O”, the Bellagio Fountains, the Universal Studios Singapore theme park, 8 Las Vegas casinos, 2 sports stadiums, 7 theaters, 4 themed malls, and over 700 live performances. I’ve served as project manager, designer, architect, technical director, engineer, operator, roadie, truck driver, and more.
Now, I freelance, am working to re-invent how you work online, and am creating art and music. The last is something I’ve wanted to do for years. It makes me feel alive. It’s both exciting and uncomfortable.
I’m a believer in the value of discomfort. It gives me hope for Humans.
It’s time for something new. It’s time for us to change. It’s time for us to be uncomfortable in the service of our Future. We might make it. We might not. I want to help sway the evidence and tilt the verdict. I want us to make it. That’s where I’m applying my energy now.
This site serves as my CV and I hope to gain fulfilling work and long-term collaborators from it. I also share my personal life openly, including my fears, faults, triumphs, passions, judgements, and joys. I want to work with people in the same manner - on the edge and wide awake.
Ideally, my next work is something I haven’t done before, working with people who demand each other’s best, creating something of real value. I'm particularly interested in philanthropy-profit hybrids.
